2025 Women's College World Series: Complete Schedule and Latest Scores
Oklahoma heads a competitive field in the 2025 NCAA softball tournament taking place in Oklahoma City.
A pair of surprising victories on Saturday brought two teams within a win of the championship final in the Women’s College World Series. No. 6 Texas managed to defeat rival No. 2 Oklahoma, drawing closer to its inaugural national title in the NCAA softball tournament.
The Longhorns faced disappointment in 2022 and 2024, both times losing to the Sooners. However, Texas was relentless this time, with Tegan Kavon dominating on the mound, striking out eight batters in a complete game performance.
In the other match, No. 12 Texas Tech triumphed over No. 9 UCLA, continuing its unexpected run in its very first Women’s College World Series. NiJaree Canady also delivered an impressive outing, with seven strikeouts leading to a complete game victory over the Bruins.
The ongoing double-elimination format will determine which teams make it to the championship series, culminating in a best-of-three showdown. To remain updated on the progress and outcomes of each matchup, visit CBS Sports.
