2025 French Open: Jannik Sinner Challenges Carlos Alcaraz; Coco Gauff Claims Her First Title

The finals are set at the French Open featuring top seeds Sinner versus Alcaraz, while Gauff secures her second Grand Slam title after an intense match.

The 2025 French Open is reaching its conclusion. In an exhilarating final, Coco Gauff triumphed over Aryna Sabalenka in a three-set contest at Roland Garros. Gauff, aged 21, initially fell behind at 1-4 in the first set but expertly battled her way through a tiebreak. Although she lost that set, her performance in the subsequent sets was stunning, leaving Sabalenka struggling at times. This victory marks Gauff’s second Grand Slam title, following her win against Sabalenka at the 2023 US Open.

On the men’s side, Carlos Alcaraz, the reigning champion and second seed, showed his prowess on clay by defeating Lorenzo Musetti in the semifinals. The match concluded with a walkover after Alcaraz established a two-set-to-one lead.

Jannik Sinner, seeded first, is still in pursuit of his first French Open title and has advanced to the finals for the first time in his career after a decisive straight-set win over Novak Djokovic.

This upcoming Grand Slam final will showcase Sinner against Alcaraz, their first encounter in such a setting, despite having met in last year’s semifinals where Alcaraz emerged victorious in five sets.

The 2025 French Open commenced on May 25 and will continue for two weeks, wrapping up with the men’s final scheduled for June 8.
