Dominant Game 2 Win Levels 2025 NBA Finals Between OKC and Indiana

The Oklahoma City Thunder ties the series with a significant victory over the Indiana Pacers in Game 2 of the NBA Finals.

The Oklahoma City Thunder has equalized the series in the 2025 NBA Finals, defeating the Indiana Pacers with a definitive score of 123-107 in Game 2 on Sunday. After a surprising defeat in Game 1, where the Pacers managed to come back from a 15-point deficit in the final quarter, the Thunder asserted their dominance from the first quarter onward, maintaining a lead until the conclusion of the game.

This setup leads to an intriguing Game 3, slated for Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. ET.

The Thunder have reached the Finals for the first time since 2012 after outperforming the Minnesota Timberwolves in a five-game series during the Western Conference finals. The Pacers made their first Finals appearance since 2000 after overcoming the New York Knicks in six games.

The Thunder, who enjoyed a successful regular season with 68 wins, stand at 12-5 through the playoffs and were favorites going into the series. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander aims to be the first player since Stephen Curry to clinch both the MVP title and an NBA championship in the same season.

In the Eastern Conference, the Pacers have made remarkable comebacks this postseason, notably their emergence in Game 1 against the Thunder. As the playoff field narrows to two teams, several contenders including the Kings, Mavericks, Bulls, and Hawks have been eliminated in the Play-In Tournament. The Grizzlies, Clippers, Lakers, Rockets, Heat, Bucks, Pistons, and Magic were eliminated in the first round, while the Nuggets, Warriors, Cavaliers, and Celtics exited in the second round.
