2026 World Cup Betting Odds: Spain Emerges as Top Contender

As the inaugural 48-team World Cup approaches, Spain's odds shift favorably after a significant win.

Soccer enthusiasts globally are eagerly awaiting the first-ever 48-team World Cup, with the tournament now just one year away.

The 2026 World Cup will take place in North America, and fans can watch it live on FOX and the FOX Sports app.

Betting has already started as fans place their expectations on this monumental event, set to begin on June 11.

Following a significant victory where Spain overcame England to claim the UEFA Euro 2024, Spain’s odds of winning the World Cup have seen a marked increase, now sitting at +500 — an improvement from +900.

Spain is slightly favored over France at +600, while defending champions Argentina, after winning the Copa América, have odds of +900, down from +800 since last summer.

The championship match will be held at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on July 19, 2026.

2026 WORLD CUP ODDS:

  • Spain: +500 (bet $10 to win $60)
  • France: +600 (bet $10 to win $70)
  • Brazil: +650 (bet $10 to win $75)
  • England: +700 (bet $10 to win $80)
  • Argentina: +800 (bet $10 to win $90)

There are concerns for the US Men’s National Team (USMNT), as last summer, they failed to reach the knockout stage. Key players such as Christian Pulisic and Weston McKennie will not feature in the summer’s Gold Cup for various reasons.

On the brighter side, the tournament will be co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Potential group matches for the USMNT include:

  • June 12, SoFi Stadium, Inglewood, California
  • June 19, Lumen Field, Seattle
  • June 25, SoFi Stadium

As we look to France, which features young stars like Kylian Mbappe, their future is promising, especially with a more mature squad anticipating 2026.
