Kevin Durant's Trade Status: Knicks Not Actively Pursuing Superstar Despite Offers Being Considered

The New York Knicks are reportedly not in pursuit of Kevin Durant, even as discussions with other teams continue following the Suns' interest.

The New York Knicks are not pursuing Kevin Durant in trade discussions, despite ongoing talks about a potential blockbuster. This news comes after conflicting reports indicated they were among five teams interested in acquiring the 15-time All-Star and two-time NBA champion.

Durant’s business manager, Rich Kleiman, is investigating options with teams like the Houston Rockets, San Antonio Spurs, Miami Heat, and Minnesota Timberwolves. While the Knicks showed interest back in 2019, current reports suggest they are not in the mix anymore.

Durant previously expressed a desire to end his career on his own terms. Recently, he stated, “I want my career to end on my terms, that’s the only thing I’m worried about.” As the Knicks weighed potential trades, they need to consider giving up significant assets due to Durant’s high caliber and the team’s own recent achievements under coach Tom Thibodeau.
