WWE is making its way back to Saudi Arabia for the exciting Night of Champions event on June 28. This year marks the second occasion that Night of Champions is being celebrated as a Saudi event.
Official Matches
One of the most significant matches confirmed for the event is John Cena defending the Undisputed WWE Championship against CM Punk. Cena aims to retire as the “last real champion” in WWE, a goal he believes could “ruin wrestling”. Meanwhile, Punk is attempting to prevent Cena from departing with the title, reversing their rivalry from 2011.
Also featured will be the finals of the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments. The winners will go on to confront their respective brands’ champions at SummerSlam.
In the past, every title has been defended at Night of Champions. However, due to a trend towards smaller Premium Live Event cards, not every title may be at stake this time.
