San Francisco Giants pitcher Sean Hjelle is currently under investigation by Major League Baseball due to serious allegations made by his wife, Caroline Hjelle.
Caroline made her claims publicly on social media, particularly via a post on TikTok, stating:
“When my MLB husband abandons us on Mother’s Day a week after I found out about his affairs and stopped putting up with his abuse, so I’ve been raising two boys alone.”
The Giants GM acknowledged awareness of these allegations and confirmed that MLB is managing the situation.
Giants manager Bob Melvin commented on the ongoing investigation, emphasizing the seriousness of the matter while stating that it is now in MLB’s jurisdiction. Despite the allegations, he noted that Hjelle will pitch against the Boston Red Sox on Saturday.
At 28 years old, Hjelle is navigating his fourth season in the major leagues, pitching a 4.66 ERA across six games in the current year.
