The final signature event of the PGA Tour season took the best players in the world to TPC River Highlands for the annual stop in Connecticut for the 2025 Travelers Championship. This competition is favored by players because of the many birdies throughout the course.
That trend continued this week, with Keegan Bradley finishing 15 under par across 72 holes to claim the Travelers Championship title, taking home a whopping $3.6 million and climbing to ninth on the Ryder Cup standings for the American side. The United States captain will have some interesting decisions to make in two months.
As the last major event of the season, the Travelers Championship served as the final opportunity to earn significant prize money and points before the FedEx Cup Playoffs, aside from next month’s Open Championship. Besides Bradley’s winnings, the top 11 finishers will each earn at least $500,000.
While financial rewards are significant, this week’s earnings have also been critical for those vying to secure spots on the United States Ryder Cup team. Ryder Cup points are determined by players’ rankings based on their earnings, with 1 point earned per $1,000 made in PGA Tour events.
