AC Milan’s sporting director, Igli Tare, emphasized the importance of Christian Pulisic, declaring him a central part of the team’s plans for the upcoming season. Tare also discussed Yunus Musah, whose potential exit is likely due to his style not aligning with new coach Massimiliano Allegri’s plans.
Tare stated:
“I consider Musah an excellent player, but we are looking for profiles with characteristics that fit the project we have with coach Allegri.”
He indicated the need for deep-lying midfielders in a three-man midfield setup, which Musah does not fit into. Pulisic, conversely, is expected to take on a key role and may discuss a contract renewal soon.
Musah struggled to find a consistent position over two years at AC Milan, playing in various roles but never solidifying a spot, while Pulisic’s impressive performance, with 17 goals and 12 assists in 49 appearances, has made him a vital part of the squad as they move forward without European competition next season.
