Verbal Agreement Confirmed for Brian Norman Jr. vs. Devin Haney Showdown

A major welterweight matchup is scheduled as Brian Norman Jr. and Devin Haney have reportedly come to terms for a fight this November.

WBO welterweight champion Brian Norman Jr. and former two-division champion Devin Haney are on a collision course. Norman and Haney have reportedly verbally agreed to fight later this year, specifically targeting November. No location has been finalized yet. Norman is keen to set the bout at welterweight without a catchweight or next-day weigh-in limits.

Norman’s manager, Adrian Clark, has stirred excitement about the matchup, cryptically tweeting that “the ball is rolling.”

Bill Haney, Devin’s father, trainer, and manager, has also expressed keen interest in this bout, tweeting:

“I’m on my job looking for this tough guy named Brian Norman Jr..?”

If you see him or his dad, tell them Devin Haney is looking for him.

Norman holds a professional record of 28 wins with 22 knockouts, having recently elevated his standing with a knockout of Jin Sasaki. Haney, on the other hand, boasts a record of 32 wins and 15 knockouts and is working to restore his reputation following an overturned loss to Ryan Garcia and a subpar victory over Jose Ramirez.
