Budda Baker Discusses Kyler Murray's Underappreciated Talent as NFL's Most Underrated Quarterback

In a recent statement, Budda Baker highlighted why he believes Kyler Murray is the most underrated quarterback in the NFL, emphasizing Murray's offseason training and impressive skills.

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray has not been unnoticed early in his career as he was the first overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft and won the Heisman Trophy. Nevertheless, injuries and team challenges have affected his reputation. As the 2025 season approaches, teammate Budda Baker declared him the most underrated quarterback in the NFL after witnessing his offseason performance.

“We haven’t had a lot of national games,” Baker noted in a conversation with ESPN’s Mina Kimes. “People often see him as just an average player, but he can execute all types of throws. He’s incredibly quick and shows it on tape. He consistently outruns opponents. For instance, the way he connected for a touchdown against the 49ers was remarkable—it’s rare to see a quarterback that aware in those moments. I’m excited to see him finally get the recognition he deserves this season.”

Murray started all 17 games last season, marking the first time since 2020 he played the entire campaign, generating impressive stats with 3,851 passing yards and 21 touchdowns, along with 572 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns.

Baker is optimistic about Murray’s upcoming season, stating: “He’s been training exceptionally well this offseason, perfecting his throws. With him running the ball more effectively and being a dual-threat quarterback, he’s set for a great season ahead.”
