MLB All-Star Game Voting Results: Shohei Ohtani and Aaron Judge Secure Starting Spots
MLB reveals the starters for the All-Star Game, highlighting Aaron Judge and Shohei Ohtani as leading voters.
For the second consecutive year, Yankees slugger Aaron Judge topped all players in votes (4,012,983) during Phase 1 of MLB’s fan voting for All-Star Game starters. Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani led the National League selections. As leading vote-getters in their respective leagues, both Judge and Ohtani automatically secure their spots in the All-Star Game, bypassing the second phase of voting. Judge will serve as one of the American League’s three outfielders while Ohtani will be the AL’s DH.
This marks Judge’s seventh All-Star Game selection and his sixth as a starter, despite missing the 2023 event due to a toe injury. Ohtani is heading to his fifth consecutive All-Star Game, being voted in as a starter each time. Notably, he began the 2021 All-Star Game as both a pitcher and DH.
The remaining players who will proceed to Phase 2 of voting include the top two vote-getters at each position:
