Rookie Paige Bueckers to Miss Game Against Mystics Due to Knee Injury

Star rookie Paige Bueckers will not play in the upcoming game against the Mystics following a right knee injury sustained after a standout performance.

Paige Bueckers, the first overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft, is experiencing an early setback in her promising career due to a right knee injury. After an impressive performance where she netted 27 points against the Indiana Fever, she will not participate in the upcoming game against the Washington Mystics. The Dallas Wings, who have had a tough start to the season with a record of 4-12, have placed her on the injury report due to this latest concern.

Previously, Bueckers had dealt with significant knee injuries during her time at UConn, and although this new issue is related to her right knee, it is noted that her previous injuries were on her left knee. Coach Chris Koclanes plans to offer more details regarding her condition before the game, hinting that it may only be a precautionary measure as the team prepares for back-to-back games.

Previous Performance

Bueckers has begun her career strongly, averaging 18.4 points, 5.8 assists, and 4.3 rebounds in her first 13 games. The wings are hopeful she will recover quickly and continue to develop as a key player for the franchise.
