The Jake Paul experience is back as he returns to the ring after his well-publicized but disappointing fight against “Iron” Mike Tyson last November. Paul will face off against another former champion, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., who previously held the WBC middleweight title.
Paul, 28, attracted global attention when he reintroduced Tyson, 58, to professional boxing after a two-decade hiatus. Known as “The Problem Child,” Paul claimed a controversial decision win over Tyson. He brings a record of 11 wins and 1 loss into the match against Chavez Jr. (54-6-1, 1 NC), hoping to generate interest in a future fight with Canelo Alvarez.
Chavez Jr., son of the legendary three-division champion, has recently secured wins against David Zegarra and Uriah Hall, though his last defeat came against ex-UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva, whom Paul defeated the following year.
