Fan voting for the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game concluded on Saturday, with the league announcing the top two fan-voted players as captains on Sunday. The standout players honored were Caitlin Clark and Napheesa Collier, both of whom received the highest number of votes from fans.

The complete All-Star roster will be revealed shortly, with Clark and Collier set to draft their teams on July 8. In the lead-up to this event, they will compete against each other in the Commissioner’s Cup title game, lined up for Tuesday, provided Clark’s injury allows her to play.

Clark captured a remarkable 1,293,526 votes, while Collier followed closely with 1,176,020. This year’s fan participation marks a significant increase; in 2023, the previous top vote-getter, A’ja Wilson, received only 95,860 votes, with the top-30 players totaling 1,171,708 votes combined.

Clark shared her enthusiasm regarding the record-breaking voting engagement, indicating, “It certainly seems like we are on a track to set a new record for the number of votes compared to last year. It’s exciting to see the league’s growth and player engagement.”

Collier, who was the runner-up for MVP in 2024 and secured the Defensive Player of the Year title, is experiencing an impressive season, logging an average of 24.5 points per game.

In an emotional moment, both players learned of their captaincy through special announcements. Clark received a congratulatory call from WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert, while Collier got the news from family and friends before a game. All-Star Weekend is set to unfold in Indianapolis on July 18-19.
