Julius Randle Reportedly Set to Continue with Timberwolves on $100 Million Contract

Julius Randle is on track to sign a significant $100 million extension with the Minnesota Timberwolves as they bolster their frontcourt.

Julius Randle is poised to sign a new three-year contract worth $100 million with the Minnesota Timberwolves. This deal is expected to include a player option for the final year. After being traded to the Timberwolves from the New York Knicks, Randle’s first season in Minnesota saw him achieve an impressive average of 18.7 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game, shooting at a 49% field goal rate.

Playoff Performance

In the playoffs, Randle displayed his skills, scoring at least 22 points in 11 out of 15 games. He achieved a notable milestone by becoming only the second player in Timberwolves history to record a postseason triple-double, accumulating 24 points, 10 rebounds, and 12 assists in a game against the Golden State Warriors.

Team Dynamics

The Timberwolves are intensifying their commitment to their frontcourt, with three significant contracts now in place for players exceeding $100 million, including Rudy Gobert and Jaden McDaniels. They also utilized their 17th pick in the 2025 NBA Draft to select French center Joan Beringer, along with their 45th pick for Australian center Rocco Zikarsky.
