Five-Star WR Cederian Morgan Chooses Alabama for 2026 Class
Cederian Morgan, a top wide receiver prospect, commits to Alabama, marking a significant addition to their 2026 recruiting class.
Alabama secured a major addition to its 2026 recruiting class with the commitment of wide receiver Cederian Morgan from Alexander City, Alabama. At 6-foot-4 and 210 pounds, Morgan is the third five-star commitment for Alabama’s incoming class.
Morgan made his choice known on Wednesday, selecting Alabama over several prestigious programs including Auburn, Clemson, Colorado, Florida, and Georgia.
Ranking as the second-best wide receiver and eleventh overall player in the 2026 class according to 247Sports, Morgan is also the highest-ranked player from Alabama. Alabama has already recruited outstanding talents from Georgia, Illinois, and Nebraska for this cycle.
After this commitment, Alabama climbed to sixth in the national recruiting rankings. The program has a total of 17 commitments for the 2026 class. Just before the summer dead period for visits, Alabama was not even in the top 40 nationally.
Morgan’s journey through recruitment saw Alabama being perceived as the frontrunner throughout, despite interest from other top-tier schools.
“Their tradition of winning,” Morgan stated, explaining his choice during an interview with 247Sports at the OT7 Finals. “And with the new staff coming in, they like to throw the ball. They have had a lot of success with receivers my size.”
Morgan, who boasts a more imposing frame than current Alabama standout Ryan Williams, compiled an impressive junior season with 70 receptions for 1,162 yards and 14 touchdowns, significantly contributing to his high school’s playoff progression. In addition to football, Morgan also excels in track and basketball and is expected to participate in the 2026 All-American Bowl in San Antonio.
