2025 Chicago Street Race: NASCAR Expert Highlights Key Odds and Picks

A deep dive into the NASCAR 2025 Grant Park 165 race, featuring expert predictions and prop bets.

Chase Elliott aims for a consecutive victory at the NASCAR In-Season Challenge’s 2025 Grant Park 165 in Chicago this Sunday. Elliott secured his first win of the season in Atlanta last week, contributing to his ten top-10 finishes this year.

Shane Van Gisbergen leads as the outright favorite at +165, followed by Kyle Larson at +650 and Christopher Bell at +750 according to DraftKings Sportsbook. The race begins Sunday at 2 p.m. ET. Before placing any bets, check out what NASCAR insider Steven Taranto has to say about the event here.

Taranto, the lead NASCAR writer for CBSSports.com and a successful sim racer, has had an impressive record. In 2024, he successfully predicted 17 race winners, including notable longshots. This experience makes his insights invaluable.

For the upcoming race, Taranto is keen on Christopher Bell at +750, noting his impressive start to the year with three wins out of four races. Bell’s strong performance in road course events is noteworthy, especially his recent achievements in Texas and Mexico City.

In terms of matchups, Taranto gives Erik Jones (-115) a slight edge over Ricky Stenhouse Jr. (-115), based on recent performances both on the track and in road courses. Jones’ consistent results and a recent fifth-place finish in Atlanta bolster his position.

Stay tuned as Taranto shares additional predictions and drivers to watch ahead of the 2025 Grant Park 165 event.
