Devin Fitzgerald, son of NFL star Larry Fitzgerald, commits to Notre Dame

Three-star wide receiver Devin Fitzgerald joins the Fighting Irish as part of the 2026 recruiting class.

Three-star wide receiver Devin Fitzgerald, son of NFL icon Larry Fitzgerald, officially committed to Notre Dame over competitors like Clemson, Stanford, and UCLA. This decision makes Fitzgerald part of the prestigious 2026 recruiting class.

Fitzgerald explained his choice: “I chose Notre Dame because of the people, the culture, and the purpose behind everything they do. It’s not just about football. It’s about building something bigger – a future, a legacy.”
During his junior year at Brophy College Preparatory, he achieved impressive stats with 52 catches, 720 yards, and nine touchdowns across 13 games.

As of now, Notre Dame boasts the fourth-ranked recruiting class, standing behind USC, Georgia, and Texas A&M. Fitzgerald is Notre Dame’s 24th commitment in this class, joining elite players such as five-star edge Rodney Dunham and four-star cornerback Khary Adams.
