Saints' Alvin Kamara's Struggles with First Pitch at Cubs Game Lead to Do-Over

Alvin Kamara, running back for the New Orleans Saints, experienced a humorous mishap while throwing the first pitch at a Cubs game but redeemed himself with a successful second attempt.

Alvin Kamara, running back for the New Orleans Saints, received a second chance on Saturday while delivering the first pitch at the Chicago Cubs game against the St. Louis Cardinals. After an initial pitch that landed short, Kamara responded positively, tossing a much better ball on his redo.

Notably, Kamara’s experience isn’t unique; others, like Alex Ovechkin in 2018, have enjoyed do-overs for their pitches. Kamara’s struggles reminded everyone how difficult it is to deliver a proper pitch from the mound.

On the field, Kamara, at age 29, is a five-time Pro Bowler and the Saints’ all-time rushing leader with over 11,541 yards since his debut in 2017, ranking second in the NFL, just behind Derrick Henry.
