Shane van Gisbergen Dominates Chicago Street Course for Second Win of 2025

In a remarkable display, Shane van Gisbergen claims his second victory of the 2025 season at the Chicago Street Race, showcasing his road racing prowess.

Two years after making an impressive debut at the Chicago Street Course, Shane van Gisbergen triumphed in the Grant Park 165, securing his second victory of the 2025 NASCAR season. Van Gisbergen’s win follows another recent victory in Mexico City and marks a complete weekend sweep after taking the checkered flag in Saturday’s Xfinity Series race.

Starting from pole position, van Gisbergen faced fierce competition early on but ultimately took control of the race when Michael McDowell encountered a mechanical issue. SVG maintained his lead over the final laps, finishing strong.

“I love this place,” van Gisbergen stated post-race. “We made no mistakes. The track was slick and the conditions were tough.”

Finishing behind him, Ty Gibbs claimed a commendable second place, while Tyler Reddick, Denny Hamlin, and Kyle Busch rounded out the top five.

The event also showcased numerous incidents, with a notable crash involving Carson Hocevar early in the race and a late showdown between Bowman and Wallace:
