2025 Wimbledon Prize Money: Champions Set to Earn Over $4 Million

This year's Wimbledon tournament features major prize money increases, notably rewarding champions with over $4 million.

Winning at Wimbledon is the aspiration of all tennis athletes, accompanied by substantial monetary rewards. The 2025 tournament has seen an 8% rise in the total prize fund compared to the previous year.

Payouts are dependent on each player’s progression in the tournament. A first-round exit yields $90,744, while winning even a single match ensures a minimum of $136,117. This system emphasizes the significance of each encounter during the Championship.

The women’s final features a $2 million disparity between the champion and runner-up, with five-time Grand Slam champion Iga Swiatek facing America’s Amanda Anisimova in what marks her debut in a major final. Swiatek has yet to secure a title at the All England Club, aiming for another milestone in her career. Conversely, Anisimova’s prior success includes reaching one major semifinal back in 2019 at the French Open.

This weekend also sees the highly anticipated rematch between Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz. They put on a remarkable show during the French Open final last month, with Alcaraz emerging victorious from a thrilling five-set duel. Sinner now seeks vengeance but will have to contend with Alcaraz, who has been highly proficient on grass courts and aims for his third consecutive Wimbledon title.

Additionally, the men’s final is pending, with Taylor Fritz trying to reach that stage while facing Carlos Alcaraz, and Jannik Sinner confronting 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic.

How Much Will Winners Earn?

Both champions in singles will receive around $4.1 million. Those reaching the semifinals will earn over a million dollars.
