Chicago Cubs left-hander Matthew Boyd will make his 19th start of the season on Saturday afternoon, attempting to bounce back from a tough loss to the New York Yankees earlier in the weekend. Boyd’s opponent will be fellow All-Star lefty Max Fried.
Boyd came into this season with little expectation after previous years of limited appearances. However, he has astonished everyone with a 2.52 ERA and has been a significant contributor to the Cubs this season.
