Saquon Barkley Aims to Surpass Terrell Davis' Rushing Record

Barkley aspires to break the rushing record set by Terrell Davis, while also focusing on pursuing the Super Bowl championship with the Eagles.

Saquon Barkley didn’t achieve the single-season rushing record, ending 101 yards short due to missing the final game. However, he has his sights set on surpassing Terrell Davis’ playoffs mark of 2,476 yards, which includes both regular season and playoffs. Barkley is currently at 2,047 rushing yards, needing just 30 more to claim the all-time record.

Barkley emphasizes that winning the Super Bowl is the primary objective and breaking records is secondary to this goal. “That’s the most important part, right? The fact I’m so close to breaking all these records, but none of this matters unless we win the Super Bowl,” said Barkley. He understands the history behind his accomplishments and respects the legends of the game.

The postseason has highlighted his talents, with an impressive number of long touchdown runs solidifying his name among the greats like Davis, who set numerous records during his career.
