Wimbledon 2025 concludes with Jannik Sinner and Iga Swiatek taking home significant winnings after their victories.

Winning the Wimbledon trophy is the ultimate goal for any tennis player, and it comes with substantial financial rewards. At this year’s championship, Jannik Sinner and Iga Swiatek emerged victorious in their singles categories.

The total prize money for the 2025 tournament saw an 8% rise from the previous year. Prize distributions in tennis are based on the rounds players reach before elimination or if they win the title. For instance, players exiting in the first round of 128 earn $90,744, while winning just one match ensures at least $136,117, making each match critical for those involved.

Sinner triumphed over Carlos Alcaraz in a hard-fought battle to secure the men’s singles title on Sunday. Previously, Alcaraz had claimed the last two Wimbledon championships but fell to Sinner’s superior performance in this match, ending with a score of 4-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4.

On the women’s side, Iga Swiatek made history by not dropping a game against American Amanda Anisimova, winning with a score of 6-0, 6-0 and earning a hefty $4.1 million prize. Although Anisimova faced a tough loss, she will take home $2 million for her final placement, including a win over world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka in the semifinals.
