The 2025 WNBA All-Star weekend kicks off on Friday with the Skills Challenge and 3-Point Contest taking place at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. Despite Caitlin Clark, the star of the Indiana Fever, missing out due to injury, the events will proceed as planned.
Clark, who was initially expected to debut in the 3-Point Contest, suffered a right groin injury in a match against the Connecticut Sun. While she won’t compete, she still plans to support her fellow All-Stars at the venue.
Notable Competitors
The contest will feature notable players such as Sabrina Ionescu, returning after her remarkable performance in 2023, alongside Sonia Citron, Kelsey Plum, and last year’s 3-Point Contest champion, Allisha Gray.
The Skills Challenge, won by Gray last year, will include other competitors like Natasha Cloud, Courtney Williams, as well as representatives from the Seattle Storm, Skylar Diggins and Erica Wheeler.
