Kristen Saban Dismisses Coaching Return Rumors Regarding Her Father
Rumors about Nick Saban's return to coaching have been quashed by his daughter via a social media post amidst ongoing speculation at SEC Media Days.
The swirling rumors about Nick Saban potentially returning to coaching can be laid to rest for now. His daughter, Kristen, took to social media on Thursday to clarify that her father will not be returning to coach at any level, whether that be college or the NFL, anytime soon.
Kristen shared a video of Saban during his walkout at Alabama, captioned ‘damn, I miss this,’ on her Instagram story, which some fans interpreted as a sign of his possible return. This led to her direct response: “Apparently some of y’all feel trolled by my last story of Nick’s walkout… he’s not coming back to coaching, hate to break it to you. You had your time.”

Adding to the discussion, former Alabama quarterback Greg McElroy mentioned at SEC Media Days that a “notable” source was certain Saban would eventually return to coaching. This stirred more speculation around the 74-year-old, who is now an Emmy Award-winning analyst for ESPN’s “College GameDay.”
When asked about Saban’s potential return, Georgia’s head coach Kirby Smart expressed skepticism, noting, “I don’t think Nick’s coming back. He’s too happy where he is.” Similarly, Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin commented he wouldn’t be surprised if Saban did decide to return, citing Saban’s sharpness and ability to coach as reasons for this belief.
