Oleksandr Usyk vs. Daniel Dubois 2: Complete Guide to the Fight
A look at the upcoming heavyweight championship rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois.
On Saturday, boxing fans will witness the crowning of a new undisputed heavyweight champion as WBA, WBO, and WBC titleholder Oleksandr Usyk faces IBF champion Daniel Dubois at Wembley Stadium in London.
Usyk secured a victory in their first encounter in August 2023, winning by knockout in Round 9 amidst controversy surrounding a low blow that dropped him. Dubois and his team continue to contest the referee’s decision following that fight.
After beating Dubois, Usyk was set to encounter former WBC champion Tyson Fury to finalize an undisputed champion, but IBF rules required him to face Dubois again, resulting in Usyk losing his title when he moved forward with the Fury fight.
On June 2024, Dubois captured the interim title after defeating Filip Hrgovic and subsequently became the full champion. He most recently defended his title with a knockout of Anthony Joshua at Wembley.
In the upcoming rematch, both fighters will compete for an undisputed heavyweight championship. The fight card for Saturday includes:
- Oleksandr Usyk (c) -335 vs. Daniel Dubois (c) +260 (Undisputed heavyweight title)
- Lawrence Okolie -250 vs. Kevin Lerena +175 (Heavyweights)
