“This decision is due to the required work to comply with municipal regulations, which has hindered the approval of the initial license,” stated the club. The 6,000-seat Estadi Johan Cruyff, home to the women’s team, will host the match instead. Currently, Barcelona primarily plays at Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys, which seats 55,926.
The expected earliest return date to Camp Nou is Sept. 14, with plans for a match against Valencia. By then, the stadium will likely be partially open.
