Pete Carroll Aims High in First Season with Las Vegas Raiders: 'We Expect a Lot of Wins'

Carroll returns to coaching with high hopes for the Raiders after a year off from the sidelines.

Across his 27 years coaching in the NFL and college football, Pete Carroll achieved a winning record in all but four seasons. Entering the 2025 season with the Las Vegas Raiders, his track record of success brings high expectations. Carroll confidently stated, “We’re gonna win a ton,” during a press conference as training camp commenced. He emphasized that the Raiders have the potential for significant success, which would be a refreshing change for a franchise that has struggled in recent years.

His remarks come during a time when the Raiders are looking to improve, having only experienced two winning seasons since 2002.

Carroll noted the young talent present in the Raiders roster—highlighting the skills of Geno Smith and veterans like Maxx Crosby—as essential to their success moving forward.

He also expressed enthusiasm over the recent acquisition of Jamal Adams, suggesting that this addition strengthens their defense. The team is set to lean on the offensive prowess of Brock Bowers, while the debut of first-round pick Ashton Jeanty promises to further enhance their performance on the field.

Concluding with optimism, Carroll stated, “I think we’ve really got something to look forward to. Everybody should be pumped about it.”
