England Stages Another Dramatic Comeback to Secure Spot in Women's Euro Final

In an electrifying match, England overcame Italy to reach the Women's Euro final once again.

England staged an exciting comeback against Italy to secure their place in the Women’s Euro finals. Italy opened the scoring through Barbara Bonansea in the 32nd minute, but England equalized late thanks to Michelle Agyemang’s goal in stoppage time. The match went into extra time where Chloe Kelly secured the victory with a goal in the 117th minute, following a missed penalty.

The upcoming semifinal between Spain and Germany is set to highlight the tournament, with Spain emerging as strong contenders. Esther Gonzalez and Alexia Putellas are expected to play key roles for Spain, while Germany will miss key players due to injury and suspension.

Putellas: “I see it more as an opportunity, not a revenge. I think we’re in a completely different competition now.”

Despite past meetups leaning in favor of Germany, Spain aims to reverse the trend as they strive for the final.

As the Euro wraps up, Europe’s top clubs are gearing up for the preseason, with Arsenal and AC Milan expected to show off their new signings in a friendly match scheduled.

The live coverage of the Women’s Euro and the exciting matches ahead will be available on CBS Sports Network and Paramount+.
