2025 3M Open leaderboard: Adam Svensson ties course record for lead with Rickie Fowler, Max Homa in pursuit
Svensson torched TPC Twin Cities on Thursday to take the early 3M Open lead.
The 3M Open gives golfers one of the last chances to qualify for the FedEx Cup Playoffs. Adam Svensson shot a stunning 11-under 60, leading the opening round.
Coming into the tournament, Svensson was placed 170th in the standings, requiring a victory to enter the top 100 and gain playoff eligibility. With a win, he could ascend to 69th place.
His performance provided a two-shot edge over Thorbjørn Olesen and Sam Stevens, who were on the brink of 59 but slipped to 9 under after a bogey on the 18th. Svensson reached 9 under at the 18th but secured an eagle to shatter the course record.
An eagle at the last to break the course record‼️
