Saniyah Hall Chooses USC: Trojans Add Another Top Women’s Basketball Recruit
Saniyah Hall, ranked as the second-best prospect for 2026, has committed to USC, marking a significant addition to their women's basketball team.
The USC Trojans are reinforcing their position as a leading women’s basketball powerhouse as Coach Lindsay Gottlieb adds another five-star player to the roster. Saniyah Hall, the second-ranked prospect for the Class of 2026, has officially announced her commitment to USC as she prepares for her senior year.
“I would just say it felt like home,” Hall shared during her announcement on ESPN. “All of my teammates, the girls there are just so fun to be around. Definitely Lindsay, just the coaches there have high support. But she’s definitely there to support me and I’ve built a relationship there and she’s a great coach.”
Hall, a 6-foot-2 forward from SPIRE Academy in Ohio, has recently led the USA Basketball U19 team to a World Cup gold medal, earning MVP honors.
Next year, Hall will be relocating to Los Angeles to be part of a Trojans lineup featuring other elite recruits like JuJu Watkins and Jazzy Davidson. While the upcoming season may be a challenge, especially without Watkins due to her ACL recovery, the 2026-27 USC squad is poised to be among the country’s best.
Historically, USC enjoyed a successful run in women’s basketball during the 1980s and 1990s, with stars like Cheryl Miller and Lisa Leslie leading the way. However, after a long hiatus from glory, USC has made a resurgence since Gottlieb took over. The Trojans are now back to competing at a high level and have added Davidson and Hall to their roster, hoping to reclaim a national title soon.
