Justin Pugh, a veteran offensive lineman in the NFL, announced his retirement on Friday after 11 remarkable seasons with the New York Giants. Pugh originally entered the league as a first-round draft pick in 2013 and has played for notable teams, including the Arizona Cardinals.

Before his NFL career, Pugh excelled in college football at Syracuse, where he was an All-American and All-Big East selection. Over his career, he became known for his versatility, having played various positions along the offensive line, transitioning from right tackle to left guard.

“I remember when I got started… the effing New York Giants… and then I got here and got a chance to see what it’s like to play for the New York effing Giants. It was a dream come true.”

In a unique twist to his farewell, Pugh returned to the Giants mid-season in 2023 to provide stability for an offensive line struggling with injuries, impressively stepping right into the roles necessary to protect the team’s quarterbacks.

Pugh ended his career with impressive statistics—132 total games played, with 131 as a starter. He aims to remain active in the football realm as a media personality.
