Evan Engram, who was released by the Jacksonville Jaguars after three seasons, is now ready to contribute to the Denver Broncos. He contrasts the cultures of the two teams, acknowledging a more positive environment in Denver that motivates him and his teammates to improve.
Engram’s ability to be a top target when healthy, along with his past achievements, adds significant value to the Broncos’ offense. He stated:
“It’s hard to be the first one in the building. I’m used to being the first one. In Jacksonville, I was always the first one. It was really easy. Here, it’s kind of tough. A lot of guys doing it at the highest level. It’s just a contagious environment. We all want to get better, and we all have high standards that we all want to achieve together.”
His prior tenure involved career highs in receptions and yards, but his release followed an injury-plagued season. Now, it appears he feels he made the right decision by joining the Broncos, saying:
“That’s probably my favorite thing about being a Bronco right now, just the way that this team connects, the way they push each other, the way they challenge each other… It’s an incredible locker room. A lot of great leaders.”
