The Denver Broncos are focused on enhancing their roster and have made a significant move by extending All-Pro defensive lineman Zach Allen with a new four-year contract exceeding $100 million. The deal, reported to be worth $102 million, includes $69.5 million in guarantees and secures his services through the 2029 season.

This extension comes after Allen’s standout performance in the 2024 season, where he achieved career-highs with 8.5 sacks and was a pivotal figure in both run defense and pass rush, earning him second-team All-Pro honors.

Initially signed in 2023 to a $45.75 million contract from the Arizona Cardinals, Allen has quickly become a keystone in Denver’s defense since reuniting with coordinator Vance Joseph.

Following this contract, the Broncos’ commitment to retaining their core talent is evident, especially after Courtland Sutton secured a four-year, $92 million deal last week. Sutton remarked, “It wasn’t about me. At the end of the day, we work in a business of compensation. There’s talent in that locker room, guys that are coming up, that are trying to get their second contract.”

Zach Allen, aged 27, is now positioned as a key leader entering the prime of his career, with the guaranteed money reflecting the team’s faith in his ongoing development. His presence aims to enhance an already formidable defensive unit, which ranked third in scoring and seventh in total yards allowed last season.

Since entering the NFL as a third-round pick in 2019, Allen has developed into a significant player, accumulating a total of 259 tackles, 25 sacks, and multiple other defensive stats.
