When play was halted, the Reds were leading 1-0, thanks to an RBI from Austin Hays. The game was suspended after one out in the bottom of the first. Braves pitcher Spencer Strider was pulled from the lineup due to the rain delay as the team remains cautious following his recovery from surgery.
The Speedway Classic marks a historic event as it’s the first game between American and National League teams held in Tennessee, with over 85,000 tickets sold, a record for a regular season match in the state.
