⚽ Transfer News: Benjamin Sesko
Benjamin Sesko has become a coveted forward in Europe, with Manchester United and Newcastle United both showing a strong interest in securing his transfer from RB Leipzig. Reports suggest Newcastle opened the bidding at approximately $87 million, which Leipzig initially declined. Subsequently, United matched this fee but included an additional $12 million in add-ons.
Leipzig has now accepted Newcastle’s improved bid of $96 million plus $3 million in add-ons, however, Sesko is reportedly leaning towards a transfer to Manchester United, envisioning himself as the central figure in United’s offensive rebuild under manager Ruben Amorim.
The upcoming Championship season kicks off this Friday at St Andrew’s, featuring a promotion battle between Birmingham City and Ipswich Town.
