It’s unusual to hear Travis Kelce feel nervous, but the renowned tight end admitted to feeling anxious during the latest episode of his podcast alongside his brother, Jason Kelce.
“I’m nervous but pretty pumped,” Travis mentioned while chatting with Jason in their podcast, New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce. This time, they featured the legendary LeBron James.
The episode hinted at LeBron’s reflection on his past consideration of pursuing a career in the NFL. He reminisced about a particular moment during the NBA lockout in 2011 when he seriously thought about stepping onto the football field.
“The only time I’ve really taken it super-duper seriously was in 2011 when we had the NBA lockout… I actually thought about it a little bit back then,” said LeBron.
In that year, the NBA had a shortened season, with LeBron’s Miami Heat ultimately winning a championship. He noted receiving offers from the Dallas Cowboys and Seattle Seahawks.
NFL vs. NBA: What’s Easier?
During the podcast, Jason queried LeBron about whether it’s easier for an NBA player to transition to the NFL compared to the other way around. LeBron opined that basketball players may have an edge when trying to make the leap to football due to the dynamics involved in the sports.
In the closing part of the podcast, LeBron expressed pride over playing alongside his son, Bronny James, who made history in the recent season as the father-son duo graced the court together.
“To be able to be in this league and play in this league and also being able to do it alongside Bronny right now, like that’s one of the biggest accomplishments — and probably the No. 1 accomplishment I’ve ever been able to do,” he stated.
