Kevin Durant Addresses Trade Rumors and Future with the Suns: 'Everyone Can Be Traded'

Kevin Durant shares his thoughts on trade speculation and the future of the Suns amidst an eventful trade deadline.

In his first public comments since last Thursday’s trade deadline, Kevin Durant of the Phoenix Suns reiterated that trade discussions are a normal part of the business.

“Everybody is bought and sold in this league, you know, so anybody can be up for auction,” the 15-time All-Star remarked.

Durant addressed rumors regarding potential trades involving star players like Jimmy Butler and acknowledged that during trade talks, players must understand the reality of the situation.

He expressed that despite any blindsides in trade discussions, he maintains his focus on the game and his responsibilities toward his team. Durant noted:

“I didn’t see it coming, but, like, the organization’s gotta do what they gotta do for the betterment of their organization.”

Durant emphasized the importance of staying engaged with his teammates and focusing on the task at hand, stating,

“Nah, ‘cause my teammates, my coaches, they’re not the ones that’s having these conversations.”

Finally, he encouraged his fans to support the Suns as they push toward better performance this season.
