Eagles Proposed an Impressive Deal to Cowboys for Micah Parsons Before Trade with Packers

The Philadelphia Eagles reportedly made a significant trade offer to the Dallas Cowboys for Micah Parsons prior to his transfer to the Green Bay Packers.

Micah Parsons will debut with the Green Bay Packers after being traded from the Dallas Cowboys just over a week ago. He signed a massive four-year, $188 million deal, which includes $120 million guaranteed. This trade marked the most significant transaction of the NFL off-season and surprised many.
For Cowboys fans, trading such a talented player was a tough decision, especially to a rival. The Cowboys accepted two first-round picks and defensive tackle Kenny Clark in exchange for Parsons.
Jay Glazer from Fox Sports reported that while the Cowboys were interested in trading Parsons to an AFC team, the strongest offer came from their rival, the Philadelphia Eagles. They proposed two first-round picks, a third, and a fifth-round pick for Parsons. Despite the lucrative offer, the Cowboys opted not to send Parsons to a competitor like the Eagles, who are coming off a Super Bowl run.
Parsons has made a name for himself in the NFL, with 52.5 sacks in his first 63 games, earning two first-team All-Pro selections and Pro Bowl appearances continuously. His performance places him among the best in the league, comparable to legends like Reggie White.
General Manager Howie Roseman now faces the challenge of managing Parsons’ record extension alongside other contracts.
