Alabama's Ryan Williams Anticipated to Return Against Wisconsin Following Concussion Protocol
Ryan Williams, Alabama wide receiver, is expected to play against Wisconsin after participating in concussion recovery protocols.
Alabama wide receiver Ryan Williams is anticipated to play against Wisconsin in Week 3. He missed the last game against ULM while undergoing concussion protocols. According to Crimson Tide’s coach Kalen DeBoer, Williams exited Alabama’s match against Florida State but is expected to return this weekend.
“I expect Ryan Williams to be back in action,” DeBoer affirmed.
The injury transpired when Williams collided with Florida State defenders after dropping a pass from quarterback Ty Simpson, which caused him to lose his balance and hit the ground. Despite the incident, he was able to leave the field on his feet with five receptions for 30 yards.
In his previous encounter against Wisconsin, Williams achieved four catches for 78 yards and a touchdown leading Alabama to a 42-10 victory. Additionally, he scored in each of the first five games of the 2024 season.
DeBoer provided additional injury updates, noting that linebacker Jah-Marien Latham, running back Jam Miller, and defensive tackle Tim Keenan are questionable for the upcoming match against the Badgers.
“They are all making progress, but we will have to see how they responded to practice this week,” DeBoer commented.
Alabama is favored by 20.5 points, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
