NBA Postpones Rockets-Hawks Match Due to Severe Winter Weather

The NBA has announced the postponement of the game between the Houston Rockets and Atlanta Hawks due to safety concerns arising from a winter storm in Atlanta.

The NBA has decided to postpone the game between the Houston Rockets and Atlanta Hawks that was scheduled for Saturday due to a winter storm affecting the area.

The reason cited for the postponement is to ensure the safety of players, fans, and staff due to severe weather and hazardous icy conditions in the Atlanta region.

A new date for the rescheduled game will be made public later. The Rockets arrived in Atlanta before the postponement announcement.

Friday’s winter storm left snow and ice across Atlanta, with road conditions expected to worsen as temperatures drop.

Power outages have also been reported, impacting over 110,000 customers in Atlanta, linked to falling trees on electrical lines.

In related news, a Delta Air Lines jet experienced an engine issue while grounded during the storm, leading to injuries among passengers. Delta representative Morgan Durrant confirmed the incident, although it remains uncertain if it is related to the weather.

After the plane’s evacuation, one passenger was taken to a hospital, while others received treatment for minor injuries at the airport.
