After making a significant impact in the first two games of the NFL season, Emeka Egbuka, rookie wide receiver for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, will sit out practice due to hip and groin injuries ahead of their match against the New York Jets.
Despite his injuries, Egbuka had an impressive start, recording four catches for 29 yards and a touchdown in the season opener against the Houston Texans, followed by another strong performance with four receptions for 67 yards and two touchdowns against the Atlanta Falcons.
In addition to Egbuka, other teammates like Luke Goedeke (with a foot injury), Cody Mauch (knee), and Calijah Kancey (pectoral) also missed practice. Kancey, placed on injured reserve, may not return this season.
The Buccaneers are set to release more injury updates leading up to their game against the Jets, who currently rank low defensively against the pass.
