2025 WNBA Playoffs: Final Spot Up for Grabs as Liberty Face Mercury

The last semifinal berth in the WNBA playoffs is being contested tonight as the New York Liberty take on the Phoenix Mercury.

Three out of four teams are confirmed for the semifinals in the 2025 WNBA playoffs, with the last slot up for grabs tonight. The Phoenix Mercury, seeded fourth, will face fifth-seeded New York Liberty in a crucial Game 3 that will complete the semifinal lineup. The victorious team will move on to play the top-seeded Minnesota Lynx, who triumphed in a two-game sweep against the Golden State Valkyries in the first round.

The sixth-seeded Indiana Fever, battling injury challenges including losing star Caitlin Clark, successfully eliminated the third-seeded Atlanta Dream in a thrilling Game 3. The Las Vegas Aces also secured their semifinal position with a narrow 74-73 victory over the Seattle Storm.

The semifinals will kick off on Sunday. Minnesota, the number one seed, aims to capture their fifth championship title.

Teams are competing in a best-of-three format in the first round and will move to a best-of-five for the semifinals, culminating in a best-of-seven final.
