UFC 320: Magomed Ankalaev vs. Alex Pereira 2 - Complete Guide to the Highly Anticipated Rematch

Major fight on the horizon as Magomed Ankalaev faces Alex Pereira in a bid for the UFC light heavyweight title at UFC 320.

Alex Pereira is seeking vengeance after being defeated by Magomed Ankalaev for the UFC light heavyweight championship seven months back. Pereira, nicknamed “Poatan,” is eager for redemption in this title rematch at UFC 320, scheduled for Saturday at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

In his first title reign, Pereira defended his championship four times within 13 months, establishing himself as a fan favorite through a series of impressive knockouts. However, his bout against Ankalaev at UFC 313 did not live up to expectations, with Ankalaev, recognized for his wrestling abilities, proving to be the superior fighter in a match that lacked excitement.

The co-main event features the dominant bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili, who has been on a hot streak following victories over Sean O’Malley and Umar Nurmagomedov. He will be defending his title against Cory Sandhagen, a fighter long viewed as a future champion, finally getting his chance at the undisputed belt.

The undercard of UFC 320 is full of compelling matchups, including a clash between former champion Jiri Prochazka and Khalil Rountree Jr. in the light heavyweight division. Veteran Josh Emmett aims to reclaim his title contendership at 145 pounds against prospect Youssef Zalal, while American Joe Pyfer faces Abus Magomedov in a bout set to open the pay-per-view on Saturday.
