Doug Martin, Former All-Pro Buccaneers RB and Boise State Star, Passes Away at 36

Tributes pour in for Doug Martin, the talented running back known for his time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Boise State.

Former Buccaneers All-Pro running back and Boise State star Doug Martin has died at age 36, confirmed by his family to Fox’s Greg Auman on Sunday. The former first-round pick by Tampa Bay in the 2012 NFL Draft played seven seasons in the NFL before concluding his career with a short stint at the Oakland Raiders.

Martin rushed for 1,454 yards in his rookie year in 2012 but faced challenges over the next two seasons with injuries. A remarkable comeback came in 2015 when he rushed for 1,402 yards, earning All-Pro and Pro Bowl honors.
