Trey Hendrickson Injury: Bengals Defensive End Excluded from Game Against Jets Due to Reaggravated Hip Issue
Bengals' Trey Hendrickson faces a setback as he is ruled out of the Week 8 game following a hip injury exacerbation during gameplay against the Jets.
The Cincinnati Bengals’ defensive end Trey Hendrickson has been deemed unavailable for their Week 8 matchup against the New York Jets after exacerbating a right hip injury during the game. Hendrickson struggled with the hip issue leading up to the Sunday clash but had to leave the field in the second quarter after sustaining a hit on a play against Jets’ Olu Fashanu.
After rushing towards Fashanu, he fell to the ground in noticeable pain following a tackle by John Simpson. He managed to get back up and attempted to jog it off; however, he was later seen walking cautiously to the locker room and was officially ruled out for the remainder of the game.
“Trey Hendrickson has been ruled OUT for the rest of today’s game, with a hip injury. This was his last play of the game. Didn’t look great.”

In the days prior to the game, Hendrickson was limited in practice, missing the session on Friday. His absence represents a significant loss for Cincinnati, as he has already recorded four sacks this season, following an impressive last year where he led the NFL with 17.5 sacks.
As a result of Hendrickson’s injury, the Bengals concluded the first half leading 24-13 against the Jets.
