Amorim Open to Leaving Manchester United After His Contract

Ruben Amorim hints at potential changes in his future with Manchester United after a draw against Leeds.

Ruben Amorim, currently managing Manchester United, expressed potential dissatisfaction and plans for the future after the club’s 1-1 draw against Leeds United. The draw came after the home team took the lead with a goal by Brenden Aaronson in the 62nd minute, only for Matheus Cunha to equalize shortly after. Amorim reflected on his intention to complete his contract but noted ambiguity about his future at the club. He stated, “I came here to be the manager of Manchester United, not to be the coach of Manchester United. I will do my job for 18 months and then we move on.” He emphasized that effective collaboration across all areas within the club is crucial, mentioning Jason Wilcox, the Director of Football, regarding any upcoming player acquisitions. Amorim’s contract runs through the end of the 2026-27 season.
