The Minnesota Vikings wide receiver, Jordan Addison, was arrested early Monday morning in Tampa, Florida. He faces charges of misdemeanor trespassing after police retrieved him from the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa.
Addison was taken into custody at 3:46 a.m. ET and charged with trespassing in an occupied structure or conveyance, a Level 1 misdemeanor. He was booked by the authorities around 7:33 a.m. and released later that day after posting a cash bond of $500.
In a media interaction, Vikings coach Kevin O’Connell commented: “I don’t want to speculate on that in any way, shape or form. I do think we have to get as many facts and find out exactly what happened. Speculating at this point would be incredibly premature for me.”
Context on Addison’s Previous Arrest
In July 2024, the 23-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of DUI after falling asleep at the wheel in Los Angeles. He eventually pleaded guilty to a ‘wet reckless’ offense and was subsequently suspended for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy. Prior incidents include being cited for speeding at 140 mph in a 55-mph zone just days before training camp in July 2023.
Addison, who was a first-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, experienced a challenging previous season, recording career lows with 42 catches for 610 yards and three touchdowns as the Vikings’ offense struggled.
